Life Sciences

Development for the life sciences industry is growing rapidly across the UK. The spaces needed to carry out this vital work present unique challenges. We see these challenges as opportunities to apply lessons learned from previous work to provide transport solutions for all end users of these spaces.
Life sciences focus on improving health through the application of biology and technology, and with the launch of the UK Government’s Life Sciences Investment Programme, it is an increasingly fast-growing industry within the UK.
Research and development carried out by those working in life sciences centres include the areas of biopharmaceuticals, medical technology, genomics, diagnostics and digital health. This vital work takes place in both laboratory spaces and more traditional office spaces, with a strong emphasis on providing collaborative space.
Having supported the delivery of numerous healthcare projects that include state-of-the-art laboratory space, such as the former Royal Free Hospital, AstraZeneca and GSK, Momentum has a proven record of supporting complex life sciences and health projects. Our input has been provided through consideration of bespoke logistics strategies and travel plan strategies and consideration of the unique design requirements associated with life sciences facilities, which also include pedestrian movement and public realm design.
