Momentum was appointed by Areli Real Estate to support designs for its proposed public square outside the proposed Lionel Road Station, Brentford. We were asked to evidence that it is suitably sized to accommodate matchday crowds from the adjacent Brentford FC Stadium.
Matchday station survey data was used to forecast spectator demand at the proposed new station, using existing data to predict how many fans would be advantaged by using Lionel Road Station.
We also undertook crowd modelling to illustrate the queuing that would result, and we designed a queuing system to safely accommodate this.
