Momentum worked alongside WATG to deliver a masterplan solution for a resort complex in Rhodes, Greece. This expansive scheme comprises three hotels, spas, villas, a marina and a golf course and sports facilities, necessitating a comprehensive transport strategy to facilitate seamless movements throughout the site.

The site is approximately 3km in length and spans an extensive beachfront. Through the adoption of a ‘campus style’ approach, Momentum proposed a transport solution in which routes and connections for non-car modes were prioritised. Of particular focus was the creation of a promenade in place of the existing highway, redefining the space to create a calmer report-style experience. A sense of luxury and tranquillity was created by subtly managing vehicle movements and prioritising direct connections for non-car modes. Key to the concept was the creation of multiple mobility options to transport visitors, guests and staff to destinations around the site.

We used GIS analysis to undertake catchment analysis, helping to define locations for transport hubs and nodes which would provide mobility options in order to assist the client in creating a 15-minute resort.
