Momentum worked alongside WATG to deliver a masterplan solution for a golf resort complex in Portugal. This expansive scheme comprises hotels, spas, villas and a golf course, necessitating a comprehensive transport strategy to facilitate seamless movements throughout the site.
A primary focus of this undertaking is the identification and implementation of an efficient management system for non-car modes, which will serve as a vital mode of transport for various user groups around the site. Particular attention is given to addressing the challenges posed by constrained east-west connections and limited beach access due to the geographical terrain.
By proactively addressing these issues and leveraging insights gleaned from a SWOT analysis, the project aims to unlock the full potential of the site, providing enhanced accessibility and an enriched experience for all visitors and residents within the development. GIS analysis then assessed the improvements and coverage created by alternative modes, working towards a 15-minute resort.
