Mayforth commissioned Momentum to support discharging a Travel Plan planning condition associated with the redevelopment of the YMCA residential hostel (196 units) and a residential apartment development of 261 apartments.
The site, located near Milton Keynes’ city centre, benefits from many local transport facilities and active travel infrastructure to support sustainable travel to site. Our work evidenced and promoted these.
We undertook a review of relevant policies and provided a succinct analysis of travel conditions around the site. We also outlined key measures to facilitate travel to the site when open, in line with the requirements related to discharging the planning condition associated with the original planning consent.
Our report set out the benefits of using a Travel Plan, as well as some targets in terms of reducing car travel and increasing journeys by walking, cycling and public transport.
Our report provided a clear action plan with timescales and implementation owners.
