Our research informs the way we plan for movement in buildings, neighbourhoods and town centres.

We also deliver standalone pieces of research for clients to help them make the most of innovative solutions for transport and deliveries. This is always with the aim of making faster progress towards net zero carbon and better air quality.

Our multidisciplinary team combines expertise in data sourcing and collection, modelling and mapping, to produce robust answers to research questions.

Examples of our recent research questions include:

  • Does voluntary town centre freight consolidation work? How can we ensure it meets the needs of local businesses?
  • How to design a service area for micromobility that can achieve mode shift away from the private car, is accessible to people on a range of income levels, and profitable for operators to run?
  • How can advance booking systems and management reduce the amount of space dedicated to freight, deliveries and parking, while improving operational reliability?
