Momentum welcomes Lorna Sewell as director
We’re delighted to welcome Lorna Sewell to Momentum as a director from 1 October 2026.
Lorna brings incredible experience across transport, placemaking and urban design, having worked on some of the UK’s most interesting and complex town centre, high street, movement strategy and masterplanning programmes.
Lorna was a formative partner of Urban Flow, where she worked with a diverse mix of public and private sector clients to develop practical, people-focused approaches to movement and place. Her work has spanned the country including projects in London and the South East, East Anglia, the South West, the Midlands and the Channel Islands, giving her a broad understanding of the different challenges and opportunities facing towns, cities and communities across the UK.
Whether she’s working as part of a wider design team, alongside clients or directly with communities, Lorna is passionate about bringing people together around a shared vision and helping turn that vision into reality. She brings experience across all stages of the project lifecycle, with expertise spanning movement and access, highways and urban design. Her ability to connect these different disciplines makes her a natural fit for Momentum’s integrated team and our people-centred approach of designing better ways for people to move and experience places.
Lorna said: “I’m really excited to be joining Momentum at such an interesting time for the business. I’ve always believed that the best transport and placemaking projects come from collaboration – bringing together different perspectives and creating solutions that work for people and places. I’m looking forward to working with the team and contributing to the next stage of Momentum’s growth.”
David Hart, managing director at Momentumadded: “We’re thrilled to have Lorna joining us. Her experience, collaborative approach and understanding of the relationship between movement and place are a great fit for Momentum. She brings a wealth of knowledge and a fantastic network, and we’re looking forward to seeing the contribution she makes across our projects.”
Lorna joins Momentum as the business continues to work with global clients and design teams across transport planning, engineering, modelling, urban design and placemaking to tackle complex built environment challenges.
Welcome to Momentum, Lorna!
