13-14 King Street is an office-led refurbishment project, which involved enhancing the existing ground floor retail, increasing the provision of high-quality office space and developing a roof terrace totalling 1,025sqm GIA. The site is located on King Street, to the south of Guildhall, within the City of London. King Street operates as a two-way highway with loading and waiting restrictions in operation Monday – Saturday.

Momentum was commissioned by Blackburn & Co. to support the planning application for the redevelopment of 13-14 King Street. The planning application for the development included the full suite of transport planning deliverables.

Momentum developed a servicing strategy to account for the lack of vehicular access to the site and loading restrictions which operate along King Street. Measures proposed to service the site include overnight deliveries and the use of cargo bikes outside of pedestrian peaks.

As part of the refurbishment, Momentum worked with John Robertson Architects (JRA) to develop the waste management strategy for site which included provision of a consolidated waste store on the lower ground floor and recycling facilities.

Momentum advised on the cycle parking requirements for the site and worked with JRA to ensure the required number of cycle parking spaces were provided in the limited space available.

The planning application was consented in September 2020.
