Momentum assisted LM Stern in obtaining planning permission for the refurbishment of an existing office building in the City of London. The alteration saw 277 sqm (GIA) of new space provided on-site, as well as a change of use to accommodate retail space in the basement.

Our work included a travel plan to achieve better rates of sustainable commuting and strategies to carry out efficient delivery and servicing operations.

Momentum provided ongoing transport planning support throughout the project, which  helped to facilitate planning permissions for this scheme in 2020. This  involved delivery of the full suite of transport planning documents, including a Transport Assessment (TA), Delivery and Servicing Plan (DSP), Construction Logistics Plan (CSP) and Travel Plan (TP).

We worked closely with the architects to support the transformation of the ground floor and basement of the building to allocate the required cycling parking spaces and waste storage. Our work assisted the client in developing a waste storage strategy and accommodation of policy-compliant cycle parking on a heavily-constrained existing site.

Following planning approval, Momentum also helped the client with further analysis of transport requirements due to changes in the consented area schedules after a second emergency stair was included in the scheme.
