Brabazon Masterplan

Momentum is currently providing transport consultancy support for YTL Developments on its large mixed-use masterplan development located in South West England. The masterplan could comprise of up to 6,500 residential units and 500,000 sqm of retail, commercial and educational uses. It is also adjacent to the 17,000-capacity YTL Arena complex, which is under construction. The masterplan for the site aims to become a flagship of urban design and placemaking in the UK, setting a tone and quality for the region.

Momentum has shaped a phased approach to the transport strategy. This enables the delivery of each phase of development as key pieces of transport infrastructure, and therefore transport capacity, are delivered. Examples of infrastructure improvements include a higher rail service frequency, additional bus services, mass rapid transit and park and ride services. In addition, the transport strategy is anchored in the creation of a pedestrian-friendly, walkable, vibrant, protected and communal environment that showcase the very best in progressive transport planning.
