Portland House Construction Pit Lane
Supporting UN Sustainable Development Goals

Project context
The refurbishment of Portland House, a landmark tower in Victoria, gained planning permission in February 2023. The refurbished Portland House has been designed to be net-zero in both construction and operation and will target WELL Core Gold and BREEAM ‘Outstanding’.
Our work
We worked with developer Landsec and demolition contractor Erith to meet their obligations to ensure a safe method of vehicle access during the renovation, while minimising the impact on general traffic on London’s inner ring road.
Client outcomes
Momentum negotiated the scope of s278 works required and delivered construction drawings for the contractor to deliver. Our detailed design work enabled our client to avoid additional TfL pit lane rental charges, the costs associated with statutory utilities disruption, and diversions of apparatus
