Momentum worked with the Harley Street BID offering in-house consultancy support. This included day-to-day project support, attending political meetings, presenting at board meetings on behalf of the client, liaising with Westminster councils, stakeholder negotiation and management, and involvement in tender interviews – providing a technical voice to the BID.

Working together, sustainability was an essential part of the relationship between Momentum and the Harley Street BID. We had the opportunity to help the BID successfully join the Westminster Sustainable City Charter. We were also instrumental in articulating a set of sustainability goals to the board, which would help to achieve the broader goals of the BID.

Our technical work focused on two key areas. Firstly, a delivery and servicing action plan, which we researched to publication stage. The action plan and accompanying graphic tool took into account the specific needs of the Harley Street area, one of the world’s foremost medical districts, such as requirements relating to medical waste for consolidation strategies and diverse accessibility needs, and the potential for consolidation through a logistics hub and cargo bike deliveries.

Momentum also provided public realm expertise to the Harley Street BID, focusing on exploring options for new parklets and liaising with Westminster City Council on cycle stand proposals and proposed junction improvements.
